From the designer Olga Reiche, Antigua, Guatemala, an extraordinary, labor-intensive picbil finely woven cotton gauze huipil (dress length). Indigo dyes on white, made in Coban, a district where it is hot and sultry. This delicate weaving technique requires the finest of threads, and only master weavers know how to do this. Designs are made using the supplementary weft, or pick-up, technique on a back-strap loom.
