This blouse is made in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in a Oaxaca, Mexico, village called San Juan Guichicovi.  It’s pretty hot there, so these blouses are lightweight 100% cotton and easy to wash and dry.  I take care of mine by machine washing on gentle with a mild soap and then hang to dry.  I can press with an iron if needed.  The blouse measures 19″ wide x 21″ long.  It is marked Medium but will really fit a size Small. The embroidery is done by hand-guiding the sewing machine needle as it makes it way around the cloth.  We consider this to be a semi-handmade process and it is equally as beautiful as a hand-embroidered piece.
