White on White blouse with rare purple snail dye trim from Pinotepa de Don Luis on the Oaxaca coast. Made on the back-strap loom. Designs are achieved using the supplementary weft weaving technique. The purple snail dyed thread is hand-spun, dyed in the coastal tide pools near Huatulco and carted back to the village some 100+ miles to the north to be woven with and embroidered.
